Celebrating 6 years of everything Notebook & Pen!

Reflecting over the last twelve months has been fun and an opportunity to capture how much the business has changed and grown as we endeavour to build our business offering to both existing and new clients which is rather exciting.

What we have achieved this last year:

We are now a team of 5! Meg, Vicky, Laura and Charlene are all top-class Virtual Assistants (VAs) and are key to the success of Notebook & Pen and the ever-growing support we can offer our clients. To find out more about the team and what we can offer, check out our team page on the website.

A huge achievement for the business was to achieve our Cyber Essentials accreditation at the end of 2023. This helps us to reassure our clients that we’re working to secure our IT against a cyber-attack. We take data security incredibly seriously and always look for ways to implement even more secure ways of working.  

Amy has attended lots of networking events including the Small Business Sunday event hosted by Theo Paphitis, for which we were successful winners back in 2021 and get invited back each year to attend an amazing day of networking and learning.

We have had the absolute pleasure of meeting lots of new people and local businesses – too many to name but a shout-out to anyone we have met and connected with. A reminder to keep in touch, we want to hear how you are doing and please reach out if there is anything you need support with.  

A big shout-out to our great clients! We wouldn’t be here without you. Our clients span across a range of services, and industries; property investment, training, charities, web design, travel, consultants, interior design, and event production to name a few.

We feel very privileged to have the opportunity to work with such amazing clients so thank you for trusting us to work together, it means a lot to us.

We have delivered workshops to share knowledge, skills and experience from managing people to being more organised. Both our bespoke sessions and open group workshops have all proved popular; online and in-person, and we will continue to offer these so get in touch to find out more.  

It is important to us to ensure our training and knowledge are up to date. We attend lots of training and share best practices across the team to ensure that we are always in the know of the latest developments, legal updates, trends and software. It is important for us to be not only credible but have the right skills and knowledge for the work we undertake.

As a business, it is important for us to give back and support the community around us who have supported us on our journey this far. Aside from supporting lots of charities throughout the year, Amy volunteers through CIPD supporting returners to work through the Steps Ahead Programme with everything from writing a CV to interview preparation and completing their LinkedIn Profile.

Something becoming more popular is the mentoring and accountability services we offer to those wishing to delve into the VA world or build their VA businesses. If this sounds of interest to you, get in touch and we can have a chat about how this might help you.

Exciting times as we delve into a rebrand for Notebook & Pen. This will be our first one since we launched the business all those years ago so very excited to share this with you all when it is complete. A big thank you goes to the Spinks Creative team for their expert support with this.
