Amy Farnfield - Founder

I have spent almost two decades working for a number of both private and public sector organisations. I graduated from university later in my career studying BA (hons) Business, with a particular interest in Strategy and Management. In 2020 I completed the CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Certificate in Human Resources Management which has provided me with an enhanced understanding of people management. Appreciating how HR strategically integrates within organisations has been extremely interesting. I have had the opportunity to understand business in practice, alongside academic viewpoints. I have a passion to support organisations and individuals achieve their organisational aspirations. Through my all-encompassing background, I launched: Notebook & Pen - your Freelance Executive Assistant. 



As an Executive Assistant, I am strategic in my thinking with a proactive mind set; regularly thinking one step ahead. I possess exceptional decision making and problem solving skills, am highly organised and at all times; professional. I offer my support, dealing with high-level business affairs whilst also dealing with any essential day to day tasks. I have the ability to step in and maintain continuity through any absence. I strive for best value, evaluating options and suggesting alternative methods of working.



Anyone can benefit from having their own Executive Assistant, we are not just the preserve of CEO’s and Managing Directors. You may be a small business, Non-Executive Director, an internet based business or a busy individual or family. I can undertake work from as little as one hour, as a regular thing or as a one off, from home or in your offices. Having a fully flexible EA, stepping in when your need is most, saves money and doesn’t require you to employ a full time member of staff.



I offer my support across key business areas including: customer services, human resources, operations, back office, marketing, business development, etc., etc. I have varied experience from managing staff, and apprentices, running a busy office to managing corporate communications. I am a versatile, reliable, highly motivated professional who enjoys working with new challenges. I have a passion for detail, but simplicity where it is required.
